PatioTunes Turns your Mac into an iTunes Server

Mindola has released a new version of an application I had never heard of before: PatioTunes.

What it really does is allow iTunes on one computer to be controlled from any other computer on your home network with a web browser (Yep, even a Windoze box). Once you fire up a browser and load the URL provided to you by the PatioTunes server, you can
  • Pick artists
  • Pick albums
  • Pick playlists
  • Control play and pause
  • Control the volume
You can also control PatioTunes from a number of WiFi-enabled handhelds, such as a Sony PSP, a Palm LifeDrive, or a Dell Axim.

PatioTunes sells for only $15, but you can try it free for 14 days.
