New and Improved MiniStack from Newer
NewerTechnology has released a new version of their stackable expansion unit for Mac minis: the miniStack v2.
Compared to the original miniStack, it seems quite similar. The notable change, evident even from the photos, is the placement of one FireWire and one USB port on the side of the unit. No ports were added, however-- just moved. The unit still sports 3 FireWire ports in all, and a three-port USB 2.0 hub.
The new miniStack is still offered in a diskless, "bring your own hard drive"configuration for $80, or with an internal drive ranging in size from 80GB to 500GB (no change here-- the old miniStack came with the same options). The 500GB unit retails for $450.
