Easy TV in your Mac with EyeTV EZ
El Gato makes a number of great TV and Video products for Mac (we previously reviewed the EyeTV Wonder), and the newest is the EyeTV EZ.
This little unit works with PowerBooks as well as desktops, since it just connects to any USB 2.0 port (it gets its power from USB, too). It isn't fancy-- it allows you to pull TV into your Mac via a 125-channel Tuner. The EyeTV software gives you and online TV guide, software mpeg encoding, and full integration with Roxio's Toast for burning what you recorded to discs.
The EyeTV EZ isn't available yet-- but it should be their lowest priced product once it is (the EyeTV Wonder, which includes hardware encoding, is priced at $149).
