Evolution TV DVR

Yep, it's another Digital Video Recorder for the Mac (We've covered EyeTV Wonder and HackTV previously).

Miglia's Evoluion TV does all the usual stuff you would expect:
  • Watch and record live TV
  • Schedule recordings
  • Access online program guides
It also throws in the capability to record your programming in MPEG-2, MPEG-4, or DivX format. Files recorded in MPEG-4 can then be opened in iMovie 5 without modification. Here's a nice touch-- the recording capability integrates with iCal!

The Evolution TV reads S-video and writes over USB 2.0, so you better hae a fairly modern Mac.

The Evolution TV sells for $279.
